Abi is my best friend and social GPS. I don't know how she does it, but she can navigate and recalibrate for any social situation. She can blend perfectly into the hallway crowd, or sit at any table in the cafeteria - and nobody hates her! Of course, every step she takes is run through her personal 'worse case scenario' meter that weighs pros, cons and all possible outcomes. And it's like she's psychic the way she raises one eyebrow and predicts how my latest plan's gonna blow up in my face, right before it does. But knowing that there's one person your in life who actually gets you - it makes you feel brave. Even if she is still giving you flack about upping your "popularity quotient."
